Key Expert 1 (Senior) - Team leader and Key Expert in Private Sector and Investments

Qualifications and skills

• At least university degree in a field related to business administration, economics, trade and investments. In the absence of a degree, professional experience of at least 3 years in any or a combination of the above fields. A masters’ degree or higher in any of the aforementioned fields will be considered an asset. 
• Coordination and communication skills, as evidenced by previous assignments in requiring engagement with a plurality of stakeholders in dynamic and culturally diversified professional environments; 
• Excellent drafting and reporting skills to be demonstrated by highlighting relevant responsibilities in the expert’s track record;

General professional experience

• At least two years professional experience in donor funded development cooperation programmes with focus on public policy reforms and policy dialogue; 
• Professional experience working with the integration of cross-cutting issues (a combination of, for instance, cross-cutting issues of governance and the rule of law, gender, inclusion, environment and climate change, demonstrated via the expert’s professional track record);
• Knowledge of the external dimension of EU priorities related to international partnerships and development cooperation, trade or private sector, demonstrated via the expert’s professional track records will be an asset;

Specific professional experience

• At least one assignment in a Team Lead position in a development cooperation programme, of a duration of at least one year; 
• Minimum three years professional experience advising on public and private investments for sustainable development, or sustainable private sector development; 
• If this professional experience is in the context of programmes focusing on green economy, climate, energy, transport and/or digital, it will be considered as an asset; 
• Professional expertise in this field in Asia will be considered an asset.

Language Skills

• Excellent writing and speaking skills in English.
