EU legislation on Common Market Organizations (CMO)

The aim of this contract is to develop a strategy for gradual adoption of EU legislation on Common Market Organizations (CMO) by the accession and to improve the institutional capacity of Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock (MoFAL) related with Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and CMO regime.

The Contractor will provide services such as:

  • Preparation of a strategy putting forward a roadmap for the gradual adoption of the EU legislation on CMO rules and practices that describes necessary legal and administrative steps.

  • Capacity building through trainings for officials from MoFAL and other relevant institutions, study visits and awareness raising activities for good understanding and efficient implementation of EU CMO rules in Turkey.

Qualifications: 
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in agriculture. In the absence of indicated type of degree, a minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience is required
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • At least ten years of experience in the field of agriculture
  • Experience in managerial position (team leader / project manager)
  • At least seven years of experience in the field of CMO rules and practices in EU Member states.
Start / Duration: 

The provisional commencement date of the contract is the 22.08.2017 and the Initial period of implementation will be 12 months
