Improvement of food safety control system in Ukraine (CIB Programme for Ukraine)

The project aims to contribute to the improvement of food safety in Ukraine "from farm to fork" by aligning Ukrainian legislation, institutional infrastructure, and system of State controls with the regulatory and administrative policies and practices of the EU.

Qualifications: 

Qualifications and skills

  •     Degree in veterinary public health or public health or similar;
  •     Postgraduate qualification in quality assurance and/or food safety management and/or auditing would be an asset, e.g. IS022000, IS09000, HACCP;
  •     Experience of co-operalion at highest levels of government;
  •     Fluency in written and spoken English;
  •     Working knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian language would be an asset.


General professional experience

  •     At least 15 years of general professional experience;
  •     3 years of consulting experience in one or more candidate countries and/or potential candidate countries and/or countries that now are part of the European Neighbourhood or Eastern Partnership will be an advantage;


Specific professional experience

  •     At least 7 years of professional experience in a high-level position within the field of State controls "from farm to fork" in the State food safety service of an EU Member State;
  •     At least 5 year experience of leading a multidisciplinary food safety team in an EU-funded technical assistance project with similar objectives and for a similar length of time to the project hereunder consideration in a candidate country and/or a potential candidate country and/or a country that is now part of the European Neighbourhood or Eastern Partnership will be im advantage
  •     Experience of preparing EU-funded supply contract tender dossiers will be an advantage.
